After extensively testing the digital clock by keeping power applied for nearly a year, absolutly no failures were observed to have occured even after moving from one apartment to another. The precision of the digital clock matched closely with that of a wristwatch, crystal based, and personal laptop. This high precision is attributed to the use of a compensated clock source as described on page 3 of this report.

During the course of the testing phase, four blackouts occured in a span of a few weeks that made the clock reset. After each incidental power cycle, no apparant harm was done to the digital clock. The unit was then set to the correct time after each reset without any complications save for the one scenerio described on page 6.

All requriments of this project were fulfilled in the design and constructon phase.

Measurements, where applicable, were taken at near standard room temperature.

  • Maximum Current Consumption: 330mA
